My design process

As a user experience designer, I collaborate with users, stakeholders, and developers to design user-friendly software. In a typical project, I meet with people to learn first-hand why they want to build a new application or change an existing application, and then design a user-interface that meets their needs.

People are at the center of my design process.

I create…

User stories to identify the wants and needs of software users.

User personas to define groups of people with similar goals and behaviors.

Journey maps to identify the processes and tasks that people use to get things done.

Annotated wireframe mockups to obtain feedback before software development is started.

Style guides to document design patterns, and identify for developers reusable design objects.

High fidelity comps to describe the final “look” of applications.
